Watch Out is the prominent watch retailer in the Ecuadorean market, active since 1995. Comprised of thirteen shops in high profile locations it sets the standard at both retail and wholesale levels. The company represents brands such as Mido, Victorinox, Seiko, Orient, Pierre Lannier, Wenger, Timex, G-Shock, Cubitt, Coros and Casio.

The company has found a particular niche that’s not limited to watches, but also provides various accessories such as leatherware, sunglasses, and bracelets to its clientele. The company has grown its wholesale market drastically to fifteen doors in 2025.

Mayoral Moda Infantil is the leading European children and teens fashion company. With a history dating back to 1941 it has established itself for attractive collections offering both playful and formal styles. The current offering includes apparel for a wide age group, notably, Newborn (0-18 months), Baby (12-36 months), Mini (2-8 years) and Junior (8-16 years), Shoes and Accessories. Since 2019, JGroup Holdings has been the exclusive representative of Mayoral Moda Infantil in Ecuador.

Currently, the company has two flagship locations in Quito and Guayaquil. Between 2026-2028 the company is planning to open two additional locations.

MyWatch is a consumer smart wear company offering smartwatches, bands, smart home and innovative products to the Ecuadorean consumer since 2015. It offers products such as Garmin, Apple Watch, Amazfit among others. Additionally, our focus on wellbeing and lifestyle solutions includes the latest innovations in speakers, accessories, sensors, etc.

Its focus is to bring the latest consumer technology products to the end consumer across its locations. In 2025, the company has two shops.

Since 2013, the company has been the market leader by way of multiple representations among which they count Baseus, Ugreen, and licensing of mobile accessories for Ferrari, BMW, Mercedes Benz and Guess. The offering is unique in the Ecuadorean market and includes personalization, a concept that has been disruptive in the marketplace. The team offers excellent customer service and in 2025, the company numbers eighteen shops.

El Carrete began in the year 1990 and is the dominant arts, crafts and haberdashery company in Ecuador. In 2024, it numbers six shops in strategic locations and malls. The company is known for its wide range of products, numbering 20.000 SKUs in each location and offers everything from yarns, needles, ribbons, sewing threads, kits, to DIY craft kits. The company serves both individuals and corporates at a national level. In 2025, the company is set for a new opening in Guayaquil.

Cubitt

Pioneers in the sports-oriented smart product niche

Cubitt is a sports and health company focused on providing products to improve the athletic performance and health of individuals. Founded in 2015, the company has over 2,500 retailers in Latin America and 40 own stores. Its offer includes smartwatches, scales, hydration, speakers and headphones with additional items in development.

Starting in 2023, JGroup Holdings is the master franchisee for the Ecuadorean market. Currently, the company has three retail kiosks in Quito and Guayaquil with five additional openings slated for the next 36 months.

El Carrete

The company offers watches, leatherware, sunglasses, smartwatches, mobile accessories, audio, accessories and in the future, luggage and bags to the Ecuadorean consumer.

Its focus is to bring a vast offering to end consumers across its locations. In 2025, the company opened its first point of sale in Guayaquil.

Saltz is a new mass-market distributor focused on distributing nicotine pouches in Mexico and the Andean market (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru).  In 2025, the company signed agreements to represent Groovie, Clew Nicotine Pouches, 77 Nicotine Pouches y Helwit.

The company is focused on reaching further agreements in the region and expanding its distribution network to offer harm-reducing options to cigarettes in a market with a high addiction level.

Our retail story began in 1990 with a focus in women’s fashion, beauty salons and craft retail shops. Over the years, our group has shifted segments through divestures and new ventures but in our 30+ years we’ve maintained our commitment to retail given our strong experience and local market knowledge.  As of 2021, our team numbers 120+ employees and 35 retail locations excluding our wholesale channel.

JGroup Holdings is a retail-focused family holding group with a Latin American scope. Our retail story began in 1990 with a focus on women’s fashion, beauty salons and craft retail shops. Over the years, our group has shifted segments through divestures and new ventures but in our 35+ years we’ve maintained our commitment to retail given our strong experience and local market knowledge.

In 2025, we count the following brands among our portfolio: Watch Out, Mayoral, Cubitt, Accesoria+, MyCase, MyWatch, El Carrete and Saltz. Our group extends beyond B2C, which has been our traditional forte, to an ever-growing B2B segment. The pandemic has further deepened this strategy and we’re currently serving and negotiating with multiple retailers across our entire portfolio to cement our role as a major wholesaler.

Today, our team numbers 160+ employees and 45+ retail locations excluding our wholesale channel and vending channel. Our team is committed to upholding our excellent reputation in the marketplace by leveraging strong local and international relationships, excellent customer service and institutional values. We’re a proactive and motivated group and as such our goal is to aggressively and tactically grow our business, taking advantage of market conditions and positive political developments in our home market, and the broader LATAM region.
